Masks for a bit longer

Thank you for filling out our mask survey. I hear your concerns, and masks will remain required in the studio–for staff and clients–until further notice.

Just like you, I’m excited to ditch my mask. And just like many of you, I still have some lingering concerns. So let’s practice our new found vaccinated freedom in our social circles and let’s rejoice in hugging our friends and family. And at the studio, let’s hang on to those masks a little longer until our community feels stronger as a whole.

Thanks to the vaccine we are able to change a few of our protocols. Here’s what to expect:

  • we’ll no longer be checking your temperature at the studio

  • if you are fully vaccinated we won’t conduct the same pre-visit screenings

And here’s what’s staying the same:

  • if you are not fully vaccinated and you travel to one of the states listed in Chicago’s travel order you will still need to quarantine for 10 days before coming to the studio

  • we’ll still be booking one client at a time

Finally, a quick word on mask taping, since a few of you have asked. Practically speaking, without tape, masks risk being accidentally cut off and those pesky straps hinder cutting precision. From a creative standpoint, taping up the sides helps me refine your cut because I can see your jawline and cheekbones. If you can’t stand the tape, I will do my best to work around it! Just know, I’m not insisting on tape to be cruel. :)

Please know I’m so ready to be done with all of this and just concentrate on creating awesome styles for all of you. I’m as impatient and hopeful as I know many of you are, but for our collective greater good it feels most responsible to keep our masks on for now. And when it’s time to burn them, I’ll bring the matches.

Thank you,

Antje
